I have been stalking Flemish breeders for a while now and either never found one I liked or there weren't any for sale. After all of the shows we've been to all over CA we found one in our own backyard at the Bakersfield show. Kim has a lot more energy than I expected from a Flemish, but I'm sure she'll calm down when she gets older and BIGGER. She's a little sweetie and is really fun to watch. I think she'll have a nice topline and end up as a good show bunny for us. Her breeding lines are from Double L Rabbit Ranch, and I highly recommend you take a look at her FG's: http://www.doublelrabbitranch.com/
Mackenzie calls this girl Bumble. She came to us from Kam when she was 5 weeks old. At the same time I had a Lionhead litter that was 8 weeks in the weanling cage so I put the teeny tiny little girl in with them. She is so cute and just a ball of energy, which is the opposite of the Lionheads. It ended up working out that all of the other babies went to their own cages or on to new homes, but these two have stayed together. I don't have the heart to separate them yet even though they are taking up my best weanling cage. They are fast friends and I think the LH doe keeps Bumble calm. I love this girls markings and can't wait to breed her to Tiger and also to show her. She is quite a character and will make a great show bunny for us.
Tiger is a good little Harli show boy. Even though his face split is a little off & his ear isn't as dark as I'd like, he still does ok on the tables because he's got a nice body and his markings are otherwise pretty good. I'm not that into the competition of showing the Harlequins, I just like the way they look so we take him with us to the shows most of the time. He's a friendly little boy and I think he'll produce a nice litter with Bumble when she's old enough. I really like this guy's body and ears.
The pictures actually make him look really small. He's really about 7 - 8 lbs. He's not huge, like our Magpie buck, but not small by any means.
