RGM & Mom Family Rabbitry & Grandpa too!

We specialize in wool breed rabbits!

Holland Lops

We happened to Holland Lops accidentally. There was another rabbitry who was being gifted 10 HL rabbits for a blue color project. She in turn generously gave away 6 rabbits from her chocolate HL project. I generally stick with the wooled breeds but couldn't pass up these little cuties.

Jonas - Broken Sable Point Sr. Buck

Vivica is a decent size girl, but not huge by any means. She had her litter the same day Kenzie had hers and Vivica's babies were about twice as big as Kenzie's (of course Kenzie had twice as many). She kept insisting on making a nest outside of the nestbox and I kept breaking it up but when it came down to it the stubborn girl had her babies in her nest, not the nestbox. They were all snug in what looked like a bird's nest, but one of them was already gone. It was about twice as big as the others so I have to wonder if something happened when she was having the baby. We are happy with her two little pink sweethearts and keeping our fingers crossed that they stay healthy.

Now that is one fat milk belly!

Jonas was the biggest baby out of the two litters of babies and is one of Vivica's. This is him at is two days old.  Pooh Bear is Jonas' sire.

Jonas has become a little love bug and captured Mackenzie's heart. She named him Jonas (for the Jonas Brothers) and we'll be keeping him. I think we must attract brokens or something because about 1/4 of our herd, across the board are broken.

Odyssey - Sable Point Sr. Doe

Odyssey is a sweet and quiet little girl. She gave me a huge surprise though. A couple of days in a row she was just ravenous and would run up to the food dish when I would come to her cage. I had been working towards her trusting me enough to give her love, but she was still shy so I was surprised by this behavior.

One day I came to feed her, about a week before she was due to kindle, there were babies all over the cage in ever corner. The circumstances worked out just right that I found the babies when they were cold, but still moving, just in the nick of time. I stuffed them all in my shirt, ran and got Mackenzie, and we re-warmed all of the babies. She turned out to be a great mommy and a few days later pulled a ton of fur. She even ended up fostering a couple of Kenzie's babies.

Pooh Bear Orange Sr. Buck

Pooh Bear is the sweetest little boy. He's my little stalker! Whenever I go out in the yard he goes crazy and I have to give him lots of love. I can barely close his cage door because he just wants me to pet him so much.

He was so shy when he came here that I thought about selling him. Now he's such a sweetheart that I wouldn't think about it. One day I had a really bad day at work and I told my hubby that I needed to be left alone to just be with my rabbits and unwind. Pooh Bear must have realized this because that is the night I had the breakthrough with him. He went from barely tolerating me petting him on the head each night to demanding attention and hanging out of his cage door. That is when he got his name. His name before was Cedar, which I liked, but once he became a little teddy bear all I could see when I looked at him is Pooh Bear. He still doesn't like to be held but I'm working on that.

The pictures don't do him justice because he was in a big ugly molt.

Uno Senior Black Buck - For Sale $30

Uno is a sweet little guy. All of my HL boys and some other bucks are such little lovers. He isn't as pushy as Pooh Bear but he's getting there. He got his name because he was the only one in his litter. He is a chocolate carrier. I love his deep black color & big head.
